- Principle of Operation: The VA 500 flow meter measures the flow rate of compressed air by utilizing two temperature sensors and a heater element within the flow sensor probe. One sensor measures the actual gas temperature, while the other sensor is heated to a constant temperature above the gas temperature.
- Thermal Dispersion: As the compressed air flows past the heated sensor, heat is transferred from the sensor to the gas. The amount of heat transferred is directly proportional to the mass flow rate of the compressed air. The difference in temperature between the two sensors is used to calculate the flow rate of the compressed air.
- Signal Processing: The VA 500 flow meter processes the temperature difference signal and converts it into a digital output representing the actual flow rate of the compressed air in standard units such as cubic feet per minute (CFM) or liters per minute (LPM).
- Monitoring and Display: The VA 500 flow meter provides real-time monitoring of the compressed air flow rate through a digital display or communication interface. Operators can view and track the flow rate data to ensure that the system is operating within specified parameters.
- Features and Benefits: The VA 500 flow meter offers high accuracy, fast response time, and low pressure drop, making it suitable for a wide range of compressed air applications. It can help operators optimize system performance, detect leaks, and improve energy efficiency by providing accurate flow rate measurements. Overall, the VA 500 flow meter for compressed air monitoring is a reliable and effective tool for measuring and monitoring the flow rate of compressed air in industrial applications, helping operators maintain system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
