In numerous production processes, such as in the pharmaceutical, chemical or semiconductor industries, clean and purified compressed air without any traces of hydrocarbons is of great importance. The dispersion mechanism of the residual oil is of particular relevance. If the oil content exceeds a critical level, the entire system can be contaminated within a very short time.
