Oxygen Sensor for O2 and N2 applications

The advantages of Ntron oxygen sensors in gas generators

The Oxygen sensors play an important role in oxygen and nitrogen generators by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the gas production process. NTRON oxygen sensors help monitor and control oxygen levels in the output gas stream, ensuring it meets required purity standards. By continuously measuring oxygen concentration, the sensor can provide real-time feedback to the generator control system. This not only ensures consistent gas quality, but also helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs by avoiding wastage of resources.
Additionally, our Zirconia oxygen sensors help maintain safety by detecting any deviations in oxygen levels that could prevent a risk to personnel or equipment. Overall, the use of oxygen sensors in oxygen and nitrogen generators improves performance, reliability and safety in gas production applications.
Oxygen generator analyzer - GMH 3695 with GGO
Oxygen Meter for oxygen in gases with integrated temperature and pressure measuring Oxygen partial pressure sensor in specialized housing GMH 3695 The GMH 3695 is measuring oxygen in air and gas mixtures either as partial pressure or as concentration in %vol. For the measuring an external sensor of the type GOO-... or GGO... has to be connected to the MINI-DIN socket. Due to the properties of the sensor, it has to be calibrated regularly (e.g. at fresh air = 20.95%) to get precise values. If the sensor is used up, this will be detected during the calibration, the sensor has to be regenerated or replaced before continuing with measuring. The safety requirements (see below) have to be observed. The device must be used only according to its intended purpose and under suitable conditions. Use the device carefully and according to its technical data (do not throw it, strike it, …) Protect the device from dirt. Safety guidelines This device has been designed and tested in accordance with the safety regulations for electronic devices. However, its trouble-free operation and reliability cannot be guaranteed unless the standard safety measures and special safety advises given in this manual will be adhered to when using the device. Application of the sensor types GGO For measurements at atmosphere and in systems without over or under pressure the GGO is sufficient. Additionally the GGO can be screwed tightly into systems with small over or under pressure. Attention! Mind the maximum pressure and the maximum pressure difference at the membrane. If instrument and sensor pressure are different, please connect the pressure port of instrument to measuring pressure, otherwise it will be compensated wrong! Calibration of the Sensor In order to compensate for ageing of the sensor, the sensor has to be calibrated at regular intervals. The device is equipped with an easy-to-use calibration functions. We recommend to calibrate the sensor at least all 7 days, or to get maximum precision, before each measuring series. The SenzTx transmitter can also be supplied with measuring ranges up to 0 to 96% O2 for oxygen concentrators. The flexibility is further enhanced by process connection multiple output options. Technical Data Measurement technology Zirconia (ZR) Measurement range 0 to 1000ppm Output resolution ( for %) 0.01% Output resolution (for ppm) 1ppm Accuracy +/-2% of reading (or 2ppm O2) @ calibrated temperature and pressure Response time (T90) <10 seconds @ 25˚C (within selected range) LDL (Sensitivity) 0.01% (when measuring %) / 1ppm (when measuring ppm) Temperature range -20˚C to +50˚C Pressure range 900 to 1100 mBarabs Linearity +/- 2% of reading Life expectation 3-5 years Humidity  0-95% RH non-condensing Shelf life No shelf life Sensor construction The main body of the sensor is fabricated from high density PVDF. The supporting ring at the face of the sensor is constructed of stainless steel. This results in an oxygen sensor that is chemically resistant to most sampling atmospheres and can be used with trace solvents and hydrocarbons present in the sample gas, unlike zirconia (due to the high temperature of the sensor). Installation flexibility The compact SenzTx oxygen transmitter with its inbuilt microprocessor, is designed for OEM applications with minimal use input. With the flow through sensor with orifice option, the sensor can handle up to 0.5 bar g and provide the correct flow through the sensor. This eliminates the need for external flow control. To achieve better result and longer life time with the Senz-TX oxygen sensor, you can follow these steps: Regular Calibration: Ensure that the Senz-TX oxygen sensor is calibrated when it is delivered with a calibration. This will help in monitoring the oxygen levels in N2 product effectively. Monitoring and Maintenance: Use the sensor to continuously monitor the oxygen levels in the Nitrogen product. Regularly check for any abnormalities or fluctuations in measuring levels and if needed renew the sensor (for zerconia sensor need every 3-5)Adjust correctly the N2 sample pressure and flow: we need maximum 0.3bar N2 with very low flow of N2 from your product tank to measure the purity of N2 product, Training and Education: Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on how to use the Senz-TX oxygen sensor effectively. Educate them on best practices for maintaining compressed air quality and using the sensor to monitor oxygen levels. By following these steps, you can ensure better result and longer life time with the Senz-TX oxygen sensor, leading to improved your N2 quality and your better performance of your PSA N2 generators operation. 02-662 NTron Oxygen sensor
02-662 NTron Oxygen sensor, SenzTx-101 (0-25%) O2 03-908 Inmatec oxygen sensor alternatively, SenzTx-101 (0-25%) O2 The zirconia sensor offers fast response time and long service life with virtually no drift, whilst the electrochemical sensor allows measurement in background gases containing hydrocarbons. Technical Data Measurement technology Zirconia (ZR) Measurement range 0 to 25% Output resolution ( for %) 0.01% Output resolution (for ppm) 1ppm Accuracy +/-2% of reading (or 2ppm O2) @ calibrated temperature and pressure Response time (T90) <10 seconds @ 25˚C (within selected range) LDL (Sensitivity) 0.01% (when measuring %) / 1ppm (when measuring ppm) Temperature range -20˚C to +50˚C Pressure range 900 to 1100 mBarabs Linearity +/- 2% of reading Life expectation 3-5 years Humidity  0-95% RH non-condensing Shelf life No shelf life Proven sensor technology With a choice of either zirconia or electrochemical sensor technology the SenzTx offers reliability, accuracy and flexibility. Both technologies have a broad measurement capability allowing the user to measure from selected ranges from 1ppm to 100% oxygen. Zirconia sensor The Ntron zirconia oxygen sensor is a nondepleting zirconia solid electrolyte sensor. A small capillary on the sensor controls the diffusion of oxygen into the sensor. When heated to over 400°C oxygen is electronically reduced causing current flow through the zirconia electrolyte. Zirconiumoxide allows the movement of oxygen ions through the substrate from a high to a low concentration. The measurement of oxygen is determined by the current flowing through the electrodes. The zirconia sensor has an unlimited shelf life without the loss of calibration and has an expected life of three to five years. The zirconia sensor is not position sensitive and has low cross sensitivity to other gases and does not dry out. Monitoring oxygen levels via oxygen sensors The Senz-TX oxygen sensors are designed to monitor oxygen levels in various applications, including compressed air systems. By accurately measuring oxygen levels, the Senz-TX sensor can help ensure that the compressed air quality meets the desired standards. When using Senz-TX sensors for compressed air quality testing, it is important to consider the following factors: Accuracy: The Senz-TX sensor should be calibrated regularly to ensure accurate readings of oxygen levels in the compressed air.
