BERG does not offer one fixed membrane nitrogen generator for every application. Each system is designed according to the required nitrogen flow, purity, pressure, operating conditions and installation concept.

Our engineers evaluate the complete process, including the available compressed air, required air quality, ambient temperature, operating environment, controls, monitoring and connection to the customer’s process.

This creates a complete industrial membrane nitrogen generator system rather than a collection of individual components.

Protecting the membrane starts with air quality

The compressed air supply must be correctly filtered and dried before entering the membrane modules. Particles, oil aerosols and unsuitable moisture conditions may negatively affect system reliability and membrane lifetime.

BERG designs the pressure dew point safely below the membrane feed temperature and selects the filtration stages according to the compressor, ambient conditions and membrane requirements.

BERG combines proven membrane technology with German system engineering, mechanical assembly, electrical integration and final testing.

Compressed air enters bundles of polyimide hollow fibres. Oxygen, water vapour and other fast-permeating components pass more rapidly through the membrane wall, while a nitrogen-enriched gas stream continues to the product outlet.
