FAQ Compressed Air Filters
The right PUREBERG® filter depends on your required air quality and contamination level. The General filter removes coarse particles and condensate. The Fine filter removes smaller particles and oil aerosols up to ≤ 0.1 mg/m³. The Super Fine filter provides high-efficiency oil removal up to ≤ 0.01 mg/m³ for critical applications. For food, pharmaceutical or high-purity processes, an Activated Carbon filter is required to remove oil vapors and odors.
The required filter combination depends on your ISO 8573-1 air quality class. Standard industrial applications typically use General and Fine filters. Higher purity applications require an additional Super Fine stage, and ISO Class 1 systems require a complete setup including Activated Carbon to ensure maximum air purity and system protection.
